The Rubber Authority of Thailand (RAOT) was emerged from an integration of three units, comprising of the Office of the Rubber Replanting Aid Fund, Rubber Estate Organization, and Rubber Research Institute. The Rubber Authority of Thailand Act B.E. 2558 was promulgated in the government gazette on July 14, 2015 and was effective on July 15, 2015. The Act has the objectives to establish the Rubber Authority of Thailand as a central organization for the administration and management of the entire system of rubber in Thailand on an integrated basis, along with managing funds and promoting Thailand to becoming the rubber manufacturing hub.
